The promised 'sports and leisure' area on Paseo Cristina is proceeding apace. Those of you who have not been lost in the old, sorry, historical quarter of the village will have noticed that the flat piece of land by the Peña Flamenca recently got a coating of concrete. This is one of the first stages of putting this piece of municipal land into good use as one of the very scarce flat bits at the top of the village and is presumably part of the €1million boost promised to Jimena by FEIL, the State Fund for Local Investment in February. In any case, it is being carried out by the Plan E employment scheme.
