What's a 'verbena'?

It's like a feria, only smaller, more intimate - and much less noisy (well, sort of). It is defined by its size, usually held by, or at, a barrio (section) of a town or village. But why not come and find out for yourself this Saturday, July 10, at Llano de la Victoria, Barrio Alto, in Jimena (that's the top of the village)? It starts at about 7pm (Spanish time...) and goes on 'til late, but it's a nice, neighbourly party - a sort of street party, in fact.
