Safety and security plans for holidays

Jimena's Citizen Safety Committee met this morning to plan and coordinate police and other forces over the Christmas holidays. The meeting was headed by Councillor Andrés Beffa and included representatives of the Guardia Civil, Local Police and Fire Brigade, among others. One of the subjects, as always, dealt with end of year public parties, which will be forbidden unless the venue has been checked by the Fire Brigade and meet the conditions established by law, including the maximum number of people attending them. It has been a tradition that places such as garages and other such places are used as halls for public parties to which a ticket must be bought, too often without any form of control or security precautions.
