Calle Quirós gets pavement repairs to avoid flooding in homes during the rainy season. Residents of the street had complained to the Council that the edges had been damaged owing to the increase in traffic caused by roadworks on Calle Sevilla and were therefore concerned that rain would create humidity or flooding on a stretch that presents many levels to the homes on it. The work, started this morning, was included in another employment scheme that has been in operation at the Eastern etrance to the village, though nothing to do with that on Sevilla.
