Recognition of decades of hard work for the Council

(Press release) Mayor Pascual Collado gave Isidoro Herrera, who retired officially on September 17, a plaque in recognition of several decades of work for the Council, the last few of which was as head foreman for the council's Department of Works. In the mayor's words, it is a small way of recognising Isidoro's value, which begins practically at the advent of democracy to Spain. Herrera himself remembered the time when the department had neither tools nor vehicles with which to carry out the enormous amount of work needed as the country came out of four decades of dictatorship. "But there were good people working for us then," he added.
