Will the pool open or won't it?

Jimena's empty pool
JIMENA Prospero gets stopped in the street with the question. He was told by 'someone who knows' that it would open this weekend. He was told by 'someone else who knows' that there is no electricity for the pumps, etc., that the power had been cut off. So, intrepid that he is, he set off this afternoon, in the extraordinary (actually, not unusual) heat, to ... what? ... take a picture of the pool. There is nobody in the Town Hall who can even talk about it. No information, none. So we still don't know if the pool will open or not. It is all nice and newly painted, the grass around is being watered (does that pump have electricity?) and it looks inviting - except there's no water in it. Well, we'll just have to ask the Mayor when we interview him tomorrow. IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION FOR THE MAYOR, SEND IT IN NOW: THE INTERVIEW IS AT 11 TOMORROW MORNING!

BY-MAIL: "I just tried to post a comment but nothing happened when I clicked on 'Post a comment'. I hope you get good news tomorrow about the pool. Written information was given out about swimming lessons on the last day of school and the Ayuntamiento are taking bookings (and payment) so hopefully that’s a positive sign? Jan
Sorry you had trouble with making a comment, Jan. It could be why we're getting so few. However, and in the knowledge that you're hardly computer illiterate, the BEST BET IS TO CLICK ON THE WORD COMMENT BELOW THE ARTICLE ON WHICH YOU WANT TO COMMENT (this one will say 1 comment, for instance) on the line at the very end of each item. Please let me know if it works!
ABOUT THE POOL: please read an item I am finishing this note.

Thanks for the update from the Mayor. Lets hope they switch the power back on before Monday. By the way, this comment is made by clicking on ''Post a Comment'' at the bottom of the article - exactly what I did last night when it didn't work! Did you change something or are we just luckier today? Don't you just love technology...

Love technology ... just love it! Especially Google, who chop & change things for the technologically defficient like myself.
