Authorities warn of high pollen counts this Spring

(Agencies) With the arrival of Spring and wet weather over Winter, health authorities are warning about high pollen counts over the next couple of months and a consequent increase in allergies, particularly those of the respiratory tracts, or hay fever. Some 10 million people in Spain are subject to allergies of different types, of which the most common is respiratory. One of the remedies for bronchial allergies is cortisone, which can produce side effects. However a new type of innocuous cortisone is presently under development. One Spanish website also refers to an online shop specially for allergenics (http://www.tualergia.com).
