Council website is offline

Council website today

When we tried to do some research this afternoon, prior to the interview we have tomorrow with the new Mayor, Guillermo Ruiz, we found that the Council website is offline. A little messing around gave us a message saying that it is under construction. We also find that the blog until recently used for press releases (prensajimena.blogspot.com) has been eliminated. As far as we know, there is no longer a press officer working at the Town Hall. The blog we can (just) understand: the press office was much criticised by the present governing party formerly in opposition, but the Council website, which was run by the press office, is public property that we hope will be run with much less political partisanship than previously, though we doubt it.
