Christmas music everywhere

(Press release) The Music School of Jimena de la Frontera, in particular the orchestra, has had a busy time preparing for a full concert schedule  in the week ahead, starting with concerts and talks at our three local primary schools, two in Jimena and Estación and one in San Pablo. Following that will be the annual concert at the Casa de la Cultura on Thursday 16th December when each one of the students, either individually or in groups, play to all the parents of the students, with a fun time afterwards when snacks and drinks are provided for all.>

On Friday evening, Coda Choir of Jimena will be performing a Christmas Carol concert in Gaucin.

However, the climax and peak of the whole week will be the annual Christmas Community Concert held in The Convento in Estación, when Coda Choir will open the first half of the concert with Christmas Carols from around the world.

The second half will feature the very popular Coda Orchestra, an organisation of very keen amateur adults as well as super-talented Childrens´Orchestra adding their contribution as well.

The evening will finish with the two orchestras joining together to play an aria from Orfeo by Gluck, entitled ‘Che Faro’ and finishing the whole concert with Silent Night and Jingle Bells.

Everybody is invited to this performance and a good time for all is assured, as well as there being hot mulled served in the interval.
