Henrietta's, the palatial hotel (officially an hospedería) in the centre of Jimena and run by artist Melissa González-Morgan, today announced its first (we hope of many) art courses. This one, titled 'Realism Painting' is scheduled for October 25 to 30 and will be run by well-known Córodoba art historian and painter Fernando Martínez Romero. The course covers traditional techniques (glazes in oil and egg tempera ) of 15th century Flemish painting of skin tones and portraits, takes five hours per day in the studio and will end with an exhibition of students' work. Places are limited and a lot of interest is already being shown, so we advise the interested to get in touch with Henrietta's (click on image for full contact information).
