(Press release/Photo: 'Payo') The Guadalinfo centre of Jimena is organizing the fourth edition of it's 'My Pet and I' photography competition. Born at the village's centre, it has grown exponentially and now has a place on the whole Guadalinfo network in Andalucía, and receives entries from all five continents (competition details below). The aim is to promote respect for animals as well as the use of new technologies. Loli Segovia, who runs the centre and organizes the competition received the 2008 'Most Innovative' Guadalinfo Award from the Junta de Andalucía for her efforts.>
- Entry deadline: May 15
- Three photos per participant.
- E-mail to concursofotografiajimena@gmail.com, by ordinary mail or in person at Guadalinfo (just above Town Hall on same side)
- Artistic and technical qualities are less important than originality or simpatía.
- Physically challenged participants may take part with videos that they must first upload to YouTube; they should show how their mascots help them in their daily lives.
- Photos of native animals are also accepted.
