Yesterdays' Ordinary Session of Jimena Council saw the swearing in of Juana Jiménez as the new Councillor, substituting for Noelia García, who resigned at the beginning of February. Jiménez will henceforth be in charge of the departments of Consumer Services (a new creation), Street Cleaning, Urban Waste Management and Services, which includes the management of cemeteries and public markets. Juani, as she is known, will remain as the municipal delegate for Los Ángeles (formerly Estación de Jimena). The Department of the Environment, which was headed by García, will be taken over by Councillor Fernando Gómez (centre).
