'Temporary industrial estate' planned for Estación
(Press release) Jimena Council and the provincial Servicio de Asistencia a Municipios (SAM) are working on a project on urbanizing the old Tradecor cork processing plant in Estación, now unused but which belongs to the municipality. The idea is to offer it for use by local businesses, divided into plots. The head of SAM, Jesús Bueno, the Councillor for Development, Fernando Gómez, and the Municipal Architect, Juan Luis Callejo, visited the site yesterday with a view to develop the project further. According to Gómez, this is but a transitory step as the Council is also making plans for an industrial estate at the old JimenaFlor nursery, which land has to be adapted to new, definitive Town Planning regulations that are still awaiting final approval.
