The Council has called a meeting of its Treasury Committee to debate the budget (some €6 million) for this current year, which is close to coming to the end. Another point scheduled for debate by the Committee is Council staffing - for 2009 as well.Year after year, our Council approves, with the majority vote of the PSOE, this not insignificant public item, usually in the last weeks of November or beginning of December of the year being discussed. As we understand it, budgets come before the money is spent. Here's a question for the Mayor: Why?

2009 Jimena budget to be debated - on Friday!
