We are often asked what's happening at, or with, the Peña Flamenca in Jimena. The answer is not a lot as far as flamenco music is concerned. The fact is, however, that the peña building, which has been closed for at least a year, is in desperate need of repair, some of which was carried out on the roof recently by one of several municipal employment schemes. The building is sited on a very dodgy piece of land that is seemingly perpetually at the edge of a disaster.
