(Press release / Photo: Illustration only) Jimena's Municipal Music School begins its 2010/2011 year next Wednesday, October 13, according to Councillor for Culture Juan José Rondón. The aim this year is to concentrate on the infants' orchestra and chorus created last year, so no new students beyond the 44 already registered will be taken on this time. With classes in a variety of instruments including piano, viola, cello and flute, teachers include British residents David and Yvonne Higginbottom, of Jimena, and Susan Elvin, of Gaucín (no mention made of them in the press release, although they contribute their work on a completely voluntary basis). Some one hundred students have at some time or other come through the school.
