Jimena's Department of Sports, headed by Councillor Fernando Gómez, proposes creating a paddle-tennis (pádel in Spanish and henceforth herein) club. Thus Gómez is calling a meeting of all interested parties for next Saturday at 8pm, at the pádel courts. The objective is to create a club to compete in regional tournaments, manage the Jimena courts, as well as the control of rentals, which would finance maintenance, promotion of the game and competition fees. Gómez adds that he and his department are open to all suggestions and begs anyone who is interested in the possibilities of the project to attend the meeting.
