When something is right, we like to mention it. This time it's the gardens just below the main square that have been given a bit of TLC by the gardeners employment scheme (there are several, we don't know the name of this one). This garden, that connects with the pensioners' day centre and the steps leading to 'Downtown Jimena', are a lovely spot. Unfortunately, there are those who would wish it otherwise: no sooner has the place been tidied up than we find Coke and beer cans and crisp packets littering the newly mown grass. (Prospero note: I live close to this spot and I have never, ever seen a policeman there at the times when there is a gaggle of youthful litterbugs: any day between 9pm and 2am, depending on what day of the week.)
