Jimena's railway station is 120 years old in December, so the municipal delegation at what used to officially be called La Estación (The Station) and is now Los Ángeles, headed by Juani Jiménez, is asking local associations to offer ideas on how to celebrate the occasion. The station and the Algeciras-Ronda line it serves was built by British engineers at the beginning of the 20th century. It was Jimena's link with the outside world and the engine behind the urban, industrial and commercial development of Estación.
