Maite Moreno in Jimena

Maite Moreno, a singer of coplas on a very popular television competition for amateurs, was in Jimena this morning to thank the village for its support. Many viewers in Jimena have voted for her since the beginning of the competition, in good part because her father was born in the village, although he and his family emigrated when he was quite small.
This charming girl is in the final stages of the competition and has a good chance of winning.
For those who don’t know what coplas are, we will attempt to explain this very Spanish type of song in another article. But if you’re interested, you can watch Maite Moreno on Canal Sur on Saturday evenings. And you can vote for her, too. ¡Buena suerte, Maite!
