JIMENA Although the actual Day is today, the Council's Department of Social Services is inviting everyone to participate in a series of related events to take place tomorrow, Friday 26th, at the Casa de la Cultura (just up from and opposite to the Town Hall) from 6.30pm. The objective is to draw attention to this very serious subject through a talk on progress against such violence, the way forward, and including a short play by the Asociación de Mujeres La Jincaleta. (Note: it's worth remembering that Spain is considered well advanced in this matter and that other countries see her as an example to follow.) (The Spanish helpline is 116.)
