Road surface being lowered on Calle Sevilla

(Press release) ARCGISA personnel started working this morning on the upper part of Calle Sevilla to level the street and thus prevent water from flooding into homes and buildings in the stretch from the Local Police station to the Casa de Cultura. Homes in that area are just a few centimetres below street level, allowing heavy rain water to get in. The surface has to be lowered so that doorways are about 18 cms above street level. According to Councillor Fernando Gómez, it has been arranged that this work coincides with other work being carried out to Calle Sevilla.
