Anyone needing to visit the top floor at Jimena's town hall will be pleased to hear that work began last week on installing a lift for the building. The law establishes that access must be available to all, but the ancient building has had to wait for a number of years, as well as for a grant of €50,000 from the Junta to be put up to date. Entry to the lift will be through a new door being opened between the staircase and the conference room.
