It is in't often that we have good news from the Arenal 2000 complex in Jimena. This item is somewhat tempered, though. The lifts on two sections were finally put into operation last Friday,which involved a complete change of machinery that had rusted from neglect, itself caused by non-payment to the lift company, Otis, by the developer. However, yesterday evening one of the lifts got stuck between floors and the bomberos had to be called out because there was no answer from Otis's emergency desk. Two people were rescued without further incident, but the lift is again inoperable.We're asked to thank the firefighters, who rushed to the spot within minutes and got things sorted. ¡Gracias!
