Sotogrande security guard arrested for making false bomb calls
The Guardia Civil arrested a security guard earlier this week, accused of making two phone calls warning of bombs placed in Sotogrande. Answering to the initials J.M.L.P., the guard is alleged to have made the calls between September 7 to 11, which caused the Guardia to deploy its procedures to find the bombs, a waste of time and resources. Upon investigating the GC found that one of the calls had been made from the mobile phone belonging to someone who worked as a security guard in the urbanization and another from one its gate huts, which led to the security guard being arrested.
