Algeciras – Gibraltar ferry to cost up to 3 times as much as others

bahía_de_algeciras(Agencies) A ride on the ferry that will offer an Algeciras-Gibraltar-Algeciras service from October 15th will cost three times the price for a similar trip from Cadiz to Puerto de Santa María, according to the operating company, Transcoma.>
The company has confirmed that tickets, to be sold via travel agencies, wholesalers and tour operators, will cost between €6 and €8, with discounts for the area's workers. This compares with the price of tickets in the Bay of Cadiz, which costs €2,10, with discounts through various agreements that can lower it to €1,30. The Cadiz-Rota journey costs just over €4.

The catamaran ferry, Punta de Europa II, begins service on October 15 and will rotate four times a day, starting at 7am (the rest of the schedule to be confirmed). The trip will take under a half hour. However, no other stops will be available immediately, though Transcoma is hoping to add other stops, such as La Línea to the ferry's itinerary.

The Punta de Europa II has maximum capacity for 150 passengers, who will be able to enjoy seeing the depths through its transparent bottom.

Hi,

I've looked on the internet to try and find out more about this, such as where does it leave Algeciras from and how do I book but cannot find anything?

Thanks,

Ed
