In case anyone doesn't know what it's about -we do have quite a lot of non-British readers- check the reason for wearing a poppy here. It would be great if those of us who know, could tell the young ones... We hear from Simon that the poppies have been taken away temporarily to raise more money but they will be returned very soon. And, yes, Sunday the 13th is Rememberance Day, 2011.

You can find a poppy in Jimena
You can get your Rememberance Day poppy in Jimena: at the Oba on Calle Sevilla. In case anyone doesn't know what it's about -we do have quite a lot of non-British readers- check the reason for wearing a poppy here. It would be great if those of us who know, could tell the young ones... We hear from Simon and Iris that some local girls have taken to wearing one in their hair. Great! And, yes, this Sunday is Rememberance Day.
