New food handler's course to be held in Jimena

JIMENA The law requires it. If you handle food during its preparation, fabrication, transformation, packaging, storing, transport, distribution, sale, supply or service, you are obliged by Law 189/2001, of September 4, to have a current food handler's certificate (Certificado de Manipulador de Alimentos). This applies as much to the owner of a business -who may never touch food at all, but should know the procedure- as to the people who actually do the handling. This is why the Cámara de Comercio (Chamber of Commerce) is holding a course in the subject on Friday, July 29 at 6pm, in the High Risk variety (which makes no difference as to obtaining the certificate, as there are several levels). The course is only partially subsidised, so it only costs €25. There is a limited availability, so we suggest you book ahead by calling Marcos on 956 648 011, or e-mail: marcos.fernandez@camaracadiz.com. Or you can pop in to the Chamber's office in the Vivero de Empresas building by the fire brigade station in Estación.
