(Agencies) The President of Renault España, Jean Pierre Laurent, said recently that communications between Sevilla and Tangier need to be improved so that the Spanish auto industry can be more competitive. Laurent said that his company is building a plant in Tangier and it is too costly to transport gearboxes made in Sevilla via Algeciras, as this port only links with the Canary Islands, and they would have to be taken from there to Casablanca and then on to Tangier.

Algeciras left out of Renault transportation loop
