Phone lines down all morning

Prospero got 17 calls this morning, via mobile, to ask what was going on with the phone lines: no phone, no broad band; no banks or hole-in-the-walls; no Post Office. We don't know what it was but are glad they're back. One person who shall remain nameless -and whom we know has never made a donation to the site- actually asked us, in a very miffed tone, why we hadn't put anything up on JimenaPulse. What would you have answered, and why didn't we think of it at the time? (Another thought: given that all Telefónica products are now called Movistar, what's the name for them when everything goes down like this?)
