It appears to be true that commercially produced mayonnaise is pretty safe but that the cut onions thing is less certain. Leaving cut onions around the house falls firmly into the category of 'old wives tale'. A quick google shows that there appears to be no particular problem with storing cut onions wrapped and in the 'fridge.simonnoreply@blogger.com
